For the Family Promise rotation April 4-11, volunteers are needed from our Immanuel and Atonement congregations to provide dinners and also be overnight hosts for families in Family Promise. We will also need help with laundry after April 18th. Also needed are some supplies for when the families are at the church. Guests will be eating dinner at the Day Center and sleeping at Immanuel Lutheran Church
There are FOUR FAMILIES in the program (5 adults, 7 children ranging in age 1 years old to 14 years old).
SUPPLIES: Please put supplies in the tub in the Hemgren room by Sunday, April 4th. Gas cards can be dropped off at the office or given to Dick or Nancy Solum.
DINNERS Please drop off meals at the Day Center (2816 South Ave West) between 4:30 and 5 pm. Please put the meals in disposable containers and leave them on the front porch. There is only a microwave to heat food, so please bring it already warmed up.
OVERNIGHT Overnight hosts will be needed at Immanuel Lutheran Church (830 South Ave West) from 7:00 pm to 6:30 am. To follow the Covid19 Protocol for safety, hosts will be required to wear a mask and keep the 6 foot social distance from guests and each other (if not related) Overnight hosts will also be required to do some cleaning of public areas after the families have left in the morning. Cleaning products are provided. (see attachment for more details). We are looking for volunteers who are not in the "high-risk" category and would ask you consider volunteering for more than one night if at all possible, to limit the number of contacts.
Thank you for your service.
