Save the dates for a fall book study based on Native: Identity, Belonging and Rediscovering God by Katilin B Curtice.
This book presents a warm, personal, and occasionally challenging story of Curtice’s ongoing journey of "rediscovering God." In her words, the story follows this call of "acknowledging the voice of creation, a voice that speaks whether we are listening or not." We will draw from her story and seek meaning within your own relationship with the divine.
Curtice describes herself as a white-coded indigenous person and a Christian who finds her faith challenged and informed by her engagement with her Potawatomi origins. She has collaborated with many contemporary teachers, Christian and secular, and has contributed to widely read publications and media.
Meetings will be on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30pm on September 21st & 28th and October 5th & 12th, led by John Brock and Pastor Rebekah in-person at Immanuel.
