West Cook Wild Ones

Volunteer to Help Out at Our Native Plant Sale on June 1 & 2, 2018

It's time for annual plant sale!  It's a big fundraiser for us (helps us pay for all of the great speakers we have; create educational materials; do community outreach; create special programs; help with a few public gardens).

We do need some extra hands for it go well though.  It's a great educational opportunity as you get to see all the different plants, and you can learn to identify them through handling them.  Meet lots of wonderful people too!

There is no need to list your full name--you can use your first name.  Alternatively, you can e-mail westcook(at)outlook.com and let us know where/how you'd like to volunteer.

Benefits of volunteering:

  • Contribute to community
  • Help the environment and the animals that share our yards
  • Connect with like-minded people
  • Free pint-sized plant or Doug Tallamy presentation on DVD.
  • Five other great reasons to volunteer: makes you feel productive, develop new skills, develop a healthier body, build experience, makes you happier.
Location: Parking Lot across from Euclid Methodist Church, 405 S Euclid Ave, Oak Park, IL 60302
