GiGis Playhouse Raleigh
Kids Club is an interactive and engaging program for participants ages 9 through 12. We support the development of social skills and language through peer to peer interaction in a casual and fun setting. This program may also support gross motor skills through active games, fine motor, and self-help skills through meal/snack preparation and activities.
Kids Club supports the therapeutic-based development of individuals with Down syndrome, with goals of achieving the following:
Increase social skills, focusing on group participation and increasing leisure activity options.
Increase language development, focusing on vocabulary development, language comprehension and social communication with peers.
Increase gross motor skills, focusing on general health, fitness (strength and balance), and utilizing motor skills to participate in educational, social, and leisure activities.
Kids Club is led by Emily Hamilton, who is a local occupational therapist.

Symptoms to be aware of: Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms we ask that you stay at home until you are well again and contact Playhouse staff to notify them of your absence.
If over the age of 2, a face mask is required.
