Hello Volunteers! Join us for St. Paul Oktoberfest (September 09 & 10) on the beautiful Germanic-American Institute's grounds! We would love to have you as part of our team!
Are you looking for TCGIS Green Team shifts? Those have been set up on a separate sign-up form. Please check with your TCGIS office or send an email to [email protected] for the link.
Bartenders & Wristband Station volunteers:
You must be at least 18 years old for these positions. 2022 Bartender & Cashier Training is preferred for these slots, OR you can attend one of two training dates.
In this training you will learn how to correctly check ID's to sell wristbands (needed for alcohol purchase at the bar), and how to navigate our Square POS to take payments at both the wristband station and the bar.
- Saturday, August 27 at 10am in-person at the GAI Haus
- Wednesday, August 31 at 6:30pm via Zoom (link will be emailed that afternoon)
Click here to sign up for a training date.
If you already attended the training in 2022, you do not have to attend it a second time.
You are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts (there is a 15 minute overlap between shifts, ignore conflicts if signing up for multiple in a row). Volunteering is more fun if you do it with friends! If you sign someone else up, please either create a separate entry with their name and contact information or add their first and last name in the comments line.
We ask that volunteers are flexible with their assigned shift. We may need to move volunteers from one position to a different one as needs change. For example, if the bar is quiet and does not need 8 bartenders, but we do not have anyone signed up for House Patrol, we may ask you to switch.
Teens are welcome to volunteer as well! For children 11 years old or younger, a parent or guardian must also sign up to volunteer with them.
All volunteers will receive a drink ticket for a beverage of their choice as well as free food and bottled water.
Volunteer Appreciation Party September 15, 7p-9p for St. Paul Oktoberfest volunteers
Also known as Drain-The-Keg party, there will be free beer until the keg is empty or 9pm, whichever comes first, for volunteers 21+. We will also have pop and water, and if beer isn't your thing, we will make sure to have some wine available as well. There might even be some trivia and prizes!
Contact the GAI Office (651-222-7027 ext.0) or email [email protected] with any questions or if you need assistance signing up. Vielen Dank! We are so excited you will be joining us.
