To finalize the student loan acceptance process you are required to complete Loan Entrance Counseling. Sessions are offered virtually at this time. You may pick an available sessions listed below.
Please do not wait until the last minute in the semester to complete this session. Pending loans will be canceled if students do not attend and complete this requirement, if they have other incomplete items on the Tasks tile of their https://maricopa.edu/ Student Center, if they are not/will not be attending at least half-time through their last date of classes, etc.
Sign up with your student email so that you receive a reminder email the day before. It contains the link to join. Please do not be late. We ask that students join the session 5 minutes before the start time. Students who ask to join more than 5 minutes after the start time are not admitted. It is a good idea to set yourself a reminder now to join the following link meet.google.com/got-sghc-hwh on the day and time you choose.
You will need to join the session from a computer with a working camera and microphone to be able to view the presentation and complete the activities. Computers are available for student use on campus at the SES building, the LRC building, the Computer Commons in the TC building, or at the South Mountain Community Library.
This Loan Entrance Counseling session is required only once during your academic career at SMCC. Please go to https://maricopa.edu/, then click on Student Center and the Tasks tile to determine if you must also complete a Master Promissory Note. If so, you will see the description "SMC Complete Loan MPN".
