High School Diving ~ Volunteer SignUp

hs2022Diving (AHS/EHS/ALB) ~ Volunteer SignUps

This sign-up is for the 2021-22 high school DIVING SEASON and is for divers and families from:

  • Alameda High School
  • Encinal High School

Each family is responsible for contributing to this team in some meaningful way. I also expect each diver to help. Below are the options for volunteering.

Each family is expected to sign-up and do the job to which they've committed.

School Team Manager (1 per school) (2)

Work with and manage all team volunteers from your school

  
Sign Up 

Swimming Suit and Team Gear Guru (1 per school) (2)

Work with swim team parent to organize suit fitting day, take orders for sizes, types, quantities, and checks (NO CASH). Also, work with Team Captain for any additional team gear (if applicable).

Yearbook and Picture-day Guru (2)

Coordinate with swim team for picture day. Work with volunteer photographer and coach to capture pictures for submission to yearbook (1 per school).

Transportation Guru (2)

Coordinate transportation to/from meets and practices (1 per school).

All American Coordinator

Understand and manage the process, paperwork, and deadlines for submission.

Learn about and follow-up on potential recognition and awards available.

Senior's Recognition Guru (during Banquet) (2)

Create and manage the graduating senior's recognition portion of the banquet (including the Senior Gift).

Diving Meet Judge (4)

There will be a meet or 2 where we will need a judge or two. You will have to study some and learn a bit about diving, BUT it is not hard and is the best seat in the house. There will be a short written test to confirm your basic knowledge of diving.

Scoring Table (6)

Need 3 per meet. Write down and/or tabulate scores for each dive during meets (second best seat in the house).

Photographer/Videographer (3)

Take pictures and video at practices and meets for the EOY banquet video.

Team Social/Outings Coordinator (2)

Create a list of 1-2 team social activities or outings during our season (i.e. pasta feed night before, trampoline night, iFly, Circus Arts, etc.). Please be aware that our school donations/team fees do not cover any of our social activities.

Event Setup (3)

Set-up tables, chairs, PA system, tents, etc. for diving meet

Event Breakdown (3)

Pack-up, clean-up, and put everything away at the end of any event

Photo/Video Manager ~ EOY Banquet

Collect and review all pictures and video to confirm all divers are covered. Upload/manage those images so that coach Eric can create the EOY banquet video.

Banquet Attendance Guru

Create and manage an attendance tracking form for the EOY Banquet.

Banquet Awards Guru (1 per school) (2)

Work with coach to submit, track, pick-up, deliver, and present EOY awards, patches, block letters, etc. during EOY banquet.

Banquet Desserts Guru

If we use a school site and therefore need desserts, work with Coach Eric to decide menu. Then create a sign-up form for families and manage donations from sign-up to delivery.
