Save Our Trees @ Northeast Park

Saturday, October 10

9am - Noon

The City of Kentwood is partnering with the Kent Conservation District Invasive Species Strike Team to control several aggressive non-native invasive species in Kentwood's parks and trails.

Treatment will involve cut stump application on targeted species that are growing unchecked. Learn about habitat restoration and non-native invasive species that alter ecosystem processes in complex ways. Attendees will also learn how to identify and control invasive species in their own yards.

Together we will be hosting a volunteer event at Northeast Park on Saturday, October 10, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Advanced registation is recommend to ensure we bring the right amount of equipment!

Volunteers are recommended to wear clothing appropriate for physical outdoor work and weather conditions, such as long sleeves, pants and closed-toed shoes. Please follow COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, including face coverings and physical distancing.
