City of Jacksonville Federal Grant Application
The City of Jacksonville’s Neighborhoods Department, Housing and Community Development Division, announces that the 2019 – 2020 universal applications will be available on January 7, 2019 for the following City of Jacksonville Consolidated Plan federal grant programs:
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)
Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG)
Applications for the above mentioned funds will be available online at www.coj.net and search words “universal application” beginning January 7, 2019. Online proposals for non-housing related activities will be accepted from public and private nonprofit 501(c) (3) agencies until February 8, 2019 at 11:59 PM. Projects must meet the CDBG national objectives of benefiting low and moderate income persons and the special needs population.
MANDATORY APPLICATION WORKSHOPS
All non-profit 501(c) (3) agencies applying for funds are required to attend one application workshop. The workshop must be attended by the agency’s staff responsible for managing the grant. At the workshops, Housing and Community Development Division staff will review the grant application process, project eligibility and provide information to assist with application preparation.
Mandatory Application Workshops will be held on:
- Wednesday, December 5, 2018 – 9:00 a.m.

No applications will be accepted from agencies that have not attended one mandatory application workshop. If, after attending a workshop, applicants need additional assistance, questions can be sent to [email protected].
If any non-English speaking persons or persons with mobility, visual or hearing impairments wish to attend the workshops and have special needs, please notify the Housing and Community Development Division at (904) 255-8200 in advance so accommodations may be made.
