SITE SETUP - 7:00 am start time (6)
Team sets up the various stations including Registration, First Aid and Water as well as setting up the route markers. Coordinators will be needed for the individual setup activities. Volunteers will be assigned to as needed to the various setup groups.
EVENT REGISTRATION - 8:00 am start time (2)
This activity is being performed by a separate group. Volunteers for this activity team will help with any support needed by the registration team.
SAFETY / FIRST AID STATION - 8:30 am start time (2)
Volunteers for this activity must have appropriate first aid training and be CPR certified. Individuals will be staged at the start/finish location, but may need to respond to incidents at route locations as needed.
WATER STATIONS - 8:30 am start time (4)
There will be at least a couple water stations. These stations may also have other responsibilities such as handing out information, sales of event t-shirts. Volunteers will also need to be able to respond to questions as needed.
ROUTE SAFETY - 8:00 am start time (20)
Volunteers will be staged at various locations along the 5K & Fun Run course to protect runners from traffic at entrances to the Washburn campus.
SITE CLEANUP - 11:00 am start time (6)
Once the event is finished, volunteers will be needed to clean up the area including the registration area and the 5K & Fun Run course. Goal is to return the area to the same status as before the event.
