MFUMC is showing love to Marietta by providing suppers for the Men's and Women's Extension on a regular basis to provide nutritious meals, fellowship, and ongoing relationships.
The Extension provides addiction recovery to homeless members of our community. You can help show the way to Christ's redeeming love and grace to the folks we serve with these meals.
COVID-19 Instructions: Make a dish at home, then drop off at the Men's or Women's Extension. Supply food for 55 Men and 25 Women. When preparing your dish, note that they are hearty eaters! The residents will serve themselves, there is no cooking or serving onsite by volunteers. Deliver your dish between 5-6pm at the Extension.
Men's Campus: 1507 Church Street Ext. (55 men) Leave your food item at the front desk of the Extension for food service on a specified day.
Women's Campus: 130 Holiday Street. (25 women) Bring food to the Dining Room, the building in the rear of the property for food service on a specified day.
For each meal, a leader or shall we say a chef will put together a menu that will be prepared on-site or which can be prepared ahead and brought in to serve. The chef will determine the menu and how foods will be prepared: whether onsite or brought in or a combination of both.
Dinner is served at 7:00 p.m. and the time during dinner may include a short devotion or some singing or just simple table fellowship.
