Memorial Lutheran Church
As announced, due to tightened government restrictions on businesses and gatherings, MLC will continue with the 3 x 100 person services through 16 August. Services will be held at 8:15, 9:45, and 11:00 AM. The plan is to go back to our two services on 23 August; 8:15 and 11:00AM. Pastor Murray will continue his Sunday 9:45 AM class via FB Live.
The Pastors, staff and church leadership understand that there have been some concerns following the positive Covid diagnosis of members who had attended worship and Bible Study. As follow-up information: Members who were in the immediate vicinity of the members throughout worship and Bible Study were notified. Pastors and church and school staff as well as others in attendance who were not in the vicinity or had passing contact were not considered to be in “close contact” and are not required to be quarantined per CDC guidelines. There have been no additional reports of symptoms or positive COVID-19 results from any other staff or church members to this point.
Although we are working to follow government recommendations regarding COVID-19, as more positive cases are reported in our communities it becomes increasingly difficult for MLC to minimize all risks of infection, as it is for any organization or public place. As previously communicated, each member should feel free to attend worship as their conscience allows. Those who are in higher risk categories may contact the church office to discuss and arrange worship/communion in smaller settings.
We encourage you to wear a mask when interacting with others.
The Pastors and MLC leadership request your continued patience and prayers during this difficult time with constantly changing situations. Like you, we are all looking forward to returning to some level of normalcy in the future and we take comfort in knowing that God works all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
