2022 Volunteers for Holiday Shop
2022 ElderTLC Holiday Shop Volunteer Sign Up
Welcome back and thank you for volunteering your time for our 2022 Holiday Gift Shop!
ElderTLC is thrilled to launch our 6th season of providing holiday gifts to seniors in-need. This year we will invite over 80 senior care facilities/organizations to shop at our location in anticipation of distributing approximately 6000 gifts. We need your help to set up shop and make gift selections with the facility directors for their residents.
Thanks to YAM Properties, our new location is centrally located this year. It is on Cactus near the northwest corner of Cactus and Paradise Village Parkway. We are in the same shopping plaza as Target and Dollar Tree, directly west of what was the Paradise Valley Mall. Our Shop is the end space close to the Armed Forces Career Center. There are so many great shops and restaurants in that area! Our address is
4304 E Cactus Rd
Please grab a friend and sign up for one or several of the shifts in the link below! There are many volunteer opportunities available beginning October 11th through November 4th.
Set Up and Decorate the Shop (Oct 11th – Oct 21st) We have hundreds of boxes of merchandise that need to be displayed. We’ll add touches of holiday décor throughout the shop to help us get into the holiday spirit in October!
Shop with Facility Directors (Oct 24th – Nov 4th) This includes Saturday, Oct. 29th. Help the directors navigate the shop, make gift selections, inventory items selected, then ribbon their gifts and place in boxes for transport.
Shop Manager (Oct 24th – Nov 4th) It’s easy! We need one volunteer per shift to open Shop and lock up, assign tasks to fellow volunteers for your shift, and collect completed inventory sheets. We will have a preliminary meeting prior to Shop opening to walk you through the process.
Break Down (Nov 7th - Nov 9th ) Once all facilities have shopped, we need help taking inventory and boxing any remaining merchandise. Hopefully, there will not be much to box!
NOTE: Masks are optional while working your shift.
NOTE: We are looking for a place to store our boxes for 2023. Please contact us if you are aware of anyone who might help. Thank you!
It will be wonderful to see everyone again. We’ve missed you!
Please contact Tracy Schweitzer (602) 790-6113 or Linda Stanciu (330) 618-6244 if you have questions.
