Alaska Woodturners Association
Demonstrators and Ambassadors must be a member of Alaska Woodturners Association and the American Association of Woodturners. This ensures you are covered by our insurance policy while you are demonstrating on behalf of the club. Please ensure your memberships are current.
The club provides lathes, spur centers, revolving centers, and chucks. Demonstrators need to bring their tools, and project wood. Demonstrators MUST wear a faceshield while demonstrating.
Bowl Blanks will be available if you would like to rough turn some Bowls for Beans Cafe.
Each demonstrator and ambassador volunteer will receive one admission and parking ticket for each day of the fair they volunteer for. These tickets will be available at the "Will Call" booth at the Green Gate located on the Palmer Highway at the train station in front of the fairgrounds.
Ambassador volunteers will be there to help answer questions folks may have. This will allow the woodturners to keep the crowds attention whilst they wow the audience with their skills.
