Ohio Reach and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services

2019 Fostering Pathways to Success Conference

Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Ohio Reach and JOURNEY to Successful Living are seeking 100 volunteers to assist with the Independence City experience during our annual Fostering Pathways to Success conference, being held on Wednesday, April 3rd at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Independence City is a life simulation experience which gives youth and young adults a glimpse into real-life scenarios. Participants will have an opportunity to develop life skills, practice critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making techniques in a fun, yet challenging environment. Please join us in making this event a success by volunteering your time! We have many opportunities and time slots for you to consider. All registered volunteers will need to participate in a 2-hour "Volunteer Orientation" on February 26, 2019 from either 10 AM-Noon or 1:30 PM-3:30 PM at our ODJFS Air Center location, 4020 East Fifth Ave, Columbus, OH. Assignment details for all volunteer roles will be provided at that time (t-shirt sizes and dietary restrictions will also be obtained). We look forward to sharing this unique experience with you!
