Upstairs--help set up chairs, angling chairs toward the center front, leaving a center aisle open. Set up tables for Auction items and Sales table. Apply window coverings. Set up tables downstairs. Help set up tents and tables outside.
Greet those coming into the Foray site (Rose Barn). Hand out Foray programs. Offer to answer any questions. Encourage participants to sign up for morning walks, and direct them to sign-up sheets. Watch for those who look “lost".
AV set-up and take down: Assist in set-up and take-down of audio-visual equipment for presentations.
Prepare dishes for Foray lunch or dinner feast. Dishes are not required to have mushrooms. Clear any raw, wild fungi used in preparation with club mycologists/identifiers BEFORE making dish. Include a list of ALL ingredients.
Walk Leaders (5)
Scout out your walk area before the foray to find best areas in which to hunt. Direct participants toward those areas, but participants may also go their own way once hunting begins. Let participants know what time to be back with their specimens.
Walk Identifiers (5)
Walk identifiers: Assist participants with field ID of their specimens. If you’re sure of an identification, fill out an ID slip to include with the specimen. Point out ID features. Have participants bring specimens back to the outdoor ID tables.
Bring identified samples from the tent to the I.D. tables indoors.
Evening: Fold up chairs and tables, and replace them on carts to be picked up by rental company. Uncover windows and fold up coverings for next year. Dishwashers and Clean-up: Wash and dry dishes and wipe down serving tables.
