As we seek to meet the deep spiritual need for the sacrament of Holy Communion while also abiding by our ethical commitment to do no harm, we have created a protocol for a drive-in communion service. Please sign up as we can only accomodate so many cars and walk-ups at one time. However, rest assured that the table is open to all. If a time slot is beginning to fill up, another time slot for that day will be added (30 minutes after the existing time slot). Please familiarize yourself with the following procedures that will allow us to participate in the sacrament without spreading covid-19.
If at all possible to minimize risk of Covid-19, please bring your own communion elements. Any bread/crackers and juice will work. We will have some prepackaged communion elements available for drive up pick up at a table on the sidewalk.
You must remain in your vehicle with windows only cracked. Abide by parking restrictions to keep distance between vehicles (every other space).
The building will remain closed and no bathrooms will be available. The service will be very short so that this hopefully is not an issue, but please use your best judgment.
While it is encouraged that you drive in order to help create safe conditions, we will have some walk-up spots for those who need them. If you are walking, please look for instructions about where to stand and be sure to keep strict 6-foot physical distance.
