Florida Maritime Museum
We are very happy to welcome you back! The museum is open to the public for self-guided tours on Tuesday-Saturday at 9 am and 1:30 pm. After an extensive renovation project, we're excited to unveil a "re-imagined" entryway, education room, and gift store in the museum.
The health and safety of our visitors and staff are our first priority. Hours are limited and reservations are required for entry.
Hours and Scheduling: The museum will be open Tuesday-Saturday for visitation by appointment only. Appointments are available at 9 am and 1:30 pm. Maximum time in the museum is 1-1/2 hours. We will be unable to admit visitors prior to their appointment time. If you are running late, we will do our best to accommodate you. If you have any questions or need assistance scheduling your appointment time, you may call us at (941) 708-6120.
Capacity: We are limiting visitors to 10 individuals per appointment to allow for social distancing while in the museum. Masks are required for visitors over the age of two. Please bring and wear your own mask. Your temperature will also be taken prior to entry. Staff will be wearing masks when visitors are present.
Our cleaning and disinfection procedures have been heightened and take place after each appointment. Areas of particular concern are frequently touched surfaces such as restrooms, door handles, and glass/Plexiglas display cases. Social distancing will be encouraged during your visit. Visitors are expected to stay 6' away from other groups/visitors with whom they did not attend. Hand sanitation stations will be available throughout the museum.
Please use this form to sign-up for an appointment. Include all adults and children (including babies) in your count. The Florida Maritime Museum is located at 4415 119th Street West in Cortez. For more information, visit FloridaMaritimeMuseum.org.
