2018 - Game Day Meals
The 2018 Football season is almost here! We need several parents to help prepare and serve meals for the students before they go to the foot ball games. Meals are only served on school days. So no meals on days with a Saturday game. Students usually warm up after school and then have their dinner before departing for the games.
Game Day Meals are served at Clements the evenings of football games when the kids do not have time to go home and eat a meal. The students practice with the band directors in the parking lot, come in the building for this quick meal, then put on their uniforms and board the buses to the stadium. They only get about 30 minutes to eat and dress, so the meal must be served quickly to over 250 people! We have a process in place to get this accomplished and the parents always have fun as well.
There are eight football games that we will be serving meals before (see dates below) and we need 16-18 parent volunteers for most games. The job descriptions are below and it can take as little as 45 minutes of your time.
Also please note that sometimes the times can change so please watch your email for any updates on feeding/loading times the week of the game. If you are ever able to come early we usually start set-up around 3:15/3:30.
When you arrive we will be in the Hallway by the Commons.
Fruit/Snack Preparation and Service-Wash and prep the fruit and man the fruit line, set out chips and cookies and restock as needed. We need at least 4 volunteers each game.
