Unity in Our Community Emergency Food Pantries

Unity in Our Community Volunteers

The "Unity in Our Community" Campaign is an initiative of Shaker Heights interfaith congregations, neighborhood groups, and local residents of the city to respond to emergency hunger and food insecurity caused by the COVID-19 crisis.  Join us to volunteer, while maintaining wellness, safety and social distancing protocols, to assist our neighbors in need.

Two emergency pantries at Heights Christian Church and Christ Episcopal Church have come online to serve our neighbors.  This is a grassroots effort.  Therefore, we depend upon your generosity for our ability to help!

We are seeking volunteers ages 16-60.  If you are sick or considered high risk (over age 60, immunocompromised, etc) we ask that you forgo volunteering for this effort.  Volunteers must wear masks/face covering and gloves (such as a bandana, scarf, gardening gloves, work gloves, latex, etc.)
