TBS is Addressing Homelessness in Salem and You Can Help!
The week of February 11-17 TBS will once again partner with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, to serve Family Promise (formerly known as Salem Interfaith Hospitality Network (SIHN)) guest families. The TBS Hunger and Homelessness Team has been working hard to plan for these acts of loving kindness and partnering with other community resources. Our congregation will be responsible for providing breakfast to the families each morning during this week. For those of us who are not able to serve breakfast, there is the opportunity to drop off breakfast food at TBS.
Cold breakfast is served Monday – Friday from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and hot breakfast is cooked and served on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Here is what we need:
- Three people Monday-Friday mornings, February 11-15, for the 6:15 - 7:15 am shift, to put out “grab and go” breakfasts for the families;
- Four people for Saturday and Sunday February 16 & 17, to make a hot breakfast, from 6:30 - 8:00 am.
- Donate needed food items to TBS so we can put the breakfast meals together.
