Write Letters of Encouragement to Elderly Parishioners at Our Lady of Mercy

Did you know that many of our elderly parishioners at Our Lady of Mercy live alone and have been isolated during the pandemic?  Our Mercy staff periodically places telephone calls to our elderly parishioners just to reach out, offer words of encouragement, and ask if there are any needs.  Our Confirmation students write letters of encouragement, as well.  When you sign up through this Sign Up Genius, we will send you an email with the name of the parishioner to whom you will write, along with his/her address.  You write the letter and address the envelope, then bring the letter/envelope to the Parish House (located to the left of the main church, between the church and Byron House).  We will take care of posting the letters.  Your letter can be short or long - the main goal is to let our brothers and sisters in Christ know that the Our Lady of Mercy community is thinking of them and is ready to assist them if needed.  Please note that this service opportunity is available only to registered parishioners of Our Lady of Mercy.
