Marion Co. Master Gardeners - Public events
Presenters: Carl Heinke and Michael Johnson, OSU Master Gardeners
This hands-on workshop teaches you the first step of the magic that creates a tree...aka, Fruit Tree Magic 101. With pruning shears, a plastic bag, and a couple of secrets, OSU Master Gardeners will show you how to select, cut, and store the healthiest scions for use in spring grafting. Scion wood collected at this workshop will be used at the March 30, Master Gardener Fruit Tree Grafting Workshop and Scion Exchange. When you complete this workshop you'll have the know-how and insight to the magic of creating a tree.
