Marion Co. Master Gardeners - Public events
Repeat of May 18 workshop
OSU Master Gardeners, Joyce & Carl Heinke, will teach you how to properly thin fruit and prune your trees for summer.
Thinning out a selection of fruit from your trees while the fruit is still small will result in larger, better tasting and better quality fruit.
Thinning prevents boom and bust years - a large crop one year and little or none the next year.
In addition to learning about thinning fruit, participants in these workshops will also learn how to prune out any diseased or damaged limbs as well as how to control the size of your trees by summer pruning. Bring clean and sharp hand pruners if you wish.
Space is limited. If you are not able to attend, please either delete your registration or email [email protected]
