Marion Co. Master Gardeners - Public events
Repeat of February 6 workshop
Presenters: Joyce and Carl Heinke, OSU Master Gardeners
Every fruit tree needs dormant season pruning regardless of age. It’s obvious that dead or diseased limbs need to go. The knack to successful pruning is knowing When & What to prune, How & Where to prune, the Why of pruning, together with What “sharp” tools to use. Yes! Sharp Tools – the sharper the better. If you have hand pruners and loppers, bring them to the workshop, which will be held, rain or shine. The Master Gardeners will teach you the pruning basics that will keep your trees healthy, vigorous, and productive. As a bonus, you also receive tips for irrigating and fertilizing your trees. The workshop will be held, rain or shine. All that and much, much more
