Marion Co. Master Gardeners - Public events
Bud Grafting: the absolute easiest way to graft…fruit trees included.
It’s simple. It’s quick. It’s the way the pros do it.
When you complete this workshop, you’ll know
• The four easy steps to bud grafting
• How to select the best bud to use
• How to “invent” a multi-variety tree
Master Gardeners Michael Johnson and Carl Heinke will show and lead through the super easy how-to steps so that with a sharp knife, a bud, and a piece of tape, you can make a bud graft…or…that multi-variety tree you’ve dreamed of.
Bonus: Create your own tree.
You can make your own tree and take it home. Purchase a rootstock*, select a bud-cutting from the supply on hand. Graft it at the workshop or take it home.
Rootstock & bud wood:
• Dwarf & very dwarf rootstocks* ………….. $5/ea
• Dwarf stone-fruit rootstock*……………….. $7/ea
• Bud wood (apple, peach, pear, plum, prune, fig. persimmon)…Free
* subject to supply on hand
