Help One Tree Planted at the Intervale Conservation Nursery production field! We will be harvesting willow and dogwood livestakes and building fascines for future planting alongside Vermont's rivers. This will provide stabilization for riverbanks which are otherwise at risk of erosion due to increased flood events in this changing climate.
Volunteers will be provided with gloves for their protection, as well as tools for cutting the livestakes.
It is highly recommended that you bring a water bottle (or two), sunscreen, bug spray, hat, sunglasses, and wear closed-toe shoes. Dress for the weather!
Prior to showing up, please make sure to complete a volunteer form if this is the first time you are volunteering with us in 2021 (even if you have completed one in years prior). Our safety rules are evaluated and updated annually.
