Broken Bus meals
Thank you so much for offering to provide a meal to our neighbors experiencing homelessness in our city. Your blessing of food will go directly from you, travel downtown on the bus, and go directly into the stomachs of the most needy in our area! Your gift of cooking and providing a meal to feed others is so greatly appreciated.
Although pictured, main meal options do not need to be soup although soup is wonderful! Chili, casseroles, sloppy jo's, pulled pork, taco meat, or any food we can transport and serve is appreciated. On average, we serve 25-30 people per weekend. Due to the teeth conditions among our friends downtown, we do avoid any type of bread or hard rolls as chewing is difficult for many.
If you are not a fan of cooking and would like to purchase a meal for us to serve, by all means, please do! Our friends also enjoy restaurant meals including fried chicken, pizza or even McDonald's hamburgers.
Please be sure to leave your email address or phone number in the comment section when you sign up so we can communicate regarding getting the meal from you.
Sometimes the week of your sign-up date isn't always the most convenient for you to cook. If you need to cook early, we can get the food from you and freeze it and then serve it on the date you signed up for. Cook when it is best for you!
Please keep all receipts as our purchases are tax deductible and we will certainly provide our tax ID number for your records if requested
If you have any question and to arrange delivery of your meal, please email Michele at [email protected].
Bless all of you for offering to provide meals for the most needy in our community! Our ministry is run by 100% volunteers, including Board Members with no paid staff so we greatly appreciate you providing our food!
