Ride on the bus

Hello and thank you for your interest in volunteering to serve on the bus, helping to feed, clothe and love our neighbors experiencing homelessness on the streets of our city! Please read the information below to see if serving on the front lines is for you!

Up to 4 volunteers are able to serve on each trip as we only have room for 4 people to sit on the bus. If your group does not have 4 people, you may be serving with another person(s) to fill all 4 volunteer spots. No individuals aside from volunteers will be allowed on the bus.  Hand sanitizer will be readily available and we encourage, although not require, masks. 

During the summer months, the bus travels to downtown Cincinnati once a week on either Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday depending on the week. We will meet at our bus facility in Fairfield and depart from there, returning to our facility at the end of our serve time. The address is: 200 Office Park Drive, Suite G, Fairfield, Ohio 45014. If you live elsewhere in the city, we can also meet you somewhere more central. 

Due the nature of the people we serve, we ask that children serving on the bus be age 12 or above. All children under 18 are required to be accompanied by at least one parent. Please dress casually and comfortably. The bus does have heat and air conditioning. Feel free to bring your own drinks on the bus and we will have access to a bathroom during our trip.

The bus will travel the streets of Cincinnati, visiting multiple individuals experiencing homelessness on the streets of our city. This is not a stationary serve, rather one that has the bus driving through the streets of downtown during our time together. If you would like to personally provide the meal on the date you volunteer, please see the link to provide meals which is posted on our "Get Involved" page on our website. If you are not interested in providing the meal, we will gladly remind the meal for you to serve.

Thank you for taking time to help others! Athough we certainly understand situations occur, includng illness, please do not sign up unless your confident you will be able to serve, aside for last minute situations that can't be avoided. Should you need to cancel your date, please let us know as far ahead of time as possible can so we can try to find replacements. If we do not have volunteers, we are not able to serve.
