We are very happy to announce Phase 2 of reopening public Masses at Risen Christ!
In this phase, we further expand the number of people able to attend each Mass; we are now able to accommodate 33 households of 2 or more, 11 households of singles and couples, and three in the cry room! We ask that households only sign up for 2-3 Mass times per month to allow other families to attend. However, you are welcome to check the sign-up on Mondays for the upcoming weekend and sign up for a fourth Mass if openings still remain. We are also opening daily Masses (6:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 12:15 PM weekdays, and 8:30 AM on Saturdays). You do not need to sign up to attend daily and Saturday morning Masses at this time.
Seating in the church is restricted to every other pew on alternating ends and three households in the cry room. Households are defined as up to six friends or family members comfortable sitting together. Larger families may therefore need to sign up for two slots. On June 21, we brought back the Sunday 5:30 PM Mass! Our only Saturday evening Mass will be at 4:00 PM going forward.
Medical experts still encourage those with underlying health conditions, compromised immune systems, and those over 65 to remain at home at this time. We will continue livestreaming the 4:00 PM Saturday Mass which can be viewed through the parish website. Archbishop Aquila has lifted the obligation to attend Mass or Holy Days of Obligation until further notice.
Masks/face coverings are required throughout the duration of the Mass at Risen Christ. Please observe social distancing of at least six feet from any other parishioners at all times. We will sanitize the pews and commonly-used areas after every Mass. However, those who choose to attend Mass are assuming a risk, as we cannot guarantee absolute protection from viruses. If you feel sick, please stay home!
Please remember the date and location of the Mass(es) you select! If possible, please print your confirmation email and bring it with you to Mass!
When you sign up, please select a quantity of "1" to reserve one of the limited household slots at a given Mass. At the end of your sign up, you will be prompted to enter the total number of those attending (up to six per household, per Mass). Larger families may need to sign up twice to accommodate more than six attendees.
If you are unable to attend a Mass for which you are registered, please delete your reservation with as much notice as possible so that others in the parish may attend. Likewise, if you change your location at a Mass (from the cry room to the sanctuary of the church, for instance), please cancel the location you no longer intend to use. This thoughtfulness makes it possible for more families in our community to attend Mass.
Increasingly, we are assigning seating based on the number of family members attending. Our ability to keep parishioners safe through social distancing depends on the reliability of the numbers we are given. Please be as accurate as possible when giving the number of family members attending and please DO include your children (including babies!) in your total.
