Center for Civic Engagement
The Center for Civic Engagement and the Sustainability Literacy Institute are partnering with the College's 250th Anniversary to host our 3rd Annual Day of Service! The Day of Service in an annual event during which CofC students, faculty, and staff come together to learn about the triple bottom line of sustainability, apply that to social justice issues in the Charleston area, and then go out into the community and serve with local non-profits. College of Charleston students, faculty, and staff are all invited to join us for this year’s Day of Service on Saturday, March 7th.
The theme for this year's event aligns with the QEP's Sustain/Solves theme of food justice. As a result, all of our service sites fight for food justice in some way, shape, or form. Just RSVP to the service opportunity that interests you the most! We will continue to add more service sites over the next couple of weeks.
When signing up for a project, please make sure that you can stay for the entire time. Transportation to each service site will be provided. Volunteers will receive a free Day of Service t-shirt and lunch on the day of the event. If you have any questions or any concerns surrounding accessibility, please email [email protected] We look forward to serving with you in the near future.
