St Raphael Church
This is the First Sunday of Lent and many of us find it difficult to believe that Jesus ever experienced temptation. But Jesus is truly Human just as he is truly Divine. He was tempted by the best tempter-the devil himself-and he genuinely suffered. He faced death rather than infidelity to his Father's will and he was ultimately resurrected and has eternal life as we will if we remain faithful. We may be going through a "dessert time" when there is discord or anxiety in our lives. For many years the prophets would bring comfort to the people by telling them that "the day of the Lord" would come. The first words that Jesus speaks in Mark as he starts his ministry are "The kingdom of God is at hand." Talk about words of comfort and hope!
The 10 am Sunday Mass will continue to live stream for those who are not able to attend in person or who do not feel comfortable attending due to health risks.
You MUST SIGN UP to be able to attend as we are still limited in the number of people allowed in the church at one time.
We hope each of you will continue to celebrate Mass in person or at home, pray and feel his LOVE through the Blessed Eucharist
God Bless You!
