Sarasota County Rowing Club

2020 Sarasota Invitational Regatta

The SIR is hosted by Sarasota County Rowing Club, (SCRC) a masters only club located at Blackburn Point Park in Osprey, Florida.  The Sarasota Invitational Regatta (SIR)  supports not just local rowing, but the rowing community as a whole. The SIR gives all rowers, middle schoolers, youth, masters, adaptive, competitive and novice, the opportunity to row on this world class rowing venue. The SIR relies on the volunteerism of every SCRC member in order to make this event a success. Drivers- Stake Boat Holder Transfer (2)

Drivers (and cars) are needed to move stake boat holders from Finish Tower to the West Shore of NBP near start area. You will be transporting the stake boat holders in your car at shift changes.

This volunteer is needed to communicate the real time launch times. You will be seated, exact place TBD..

Stake Boat Holder (8)

Stake boat holders will be stationed on a platform on the race course and responsible for holding bow of boats to start. Chairs will be provided but you will need to lie down on platform to hold boats. Be prepared for all weather. Food and water provided.
