Makerspace - Flip Book Animation is an opportunity for students and families to learn about the animation process and create a flip book to take home. A flip book is a book with a series of pictures that vary gradually from one page to the next, so that when the pages are turned rapidly, the pictures appear to animate by simulating motion or some other change.
Makerspace is a STEAM Lab. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art and math. Hosted by the PTO, curated by Katie Massaro and funded by Highland Foundation and Hinckley's PTO, Makerspace Nights are a time for parents and kids to play, tinker, invent and build together. Sometimes there will be a take away, and sometimes the fun is in the process. There will be many Makerspace Nights this school year, and to maintain the quality of program and materials, each night will be small.
Each student, even from the same family, must sign up. If slots fill up, no worries, there will be more opportunities We can not accommodate more than listed.
