OPPORTUNITY TO HELP HOMELESS FAMILIES DIRECTLY; TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Your help is needed during our Family Promise of Greater Des Moines Host week, July 21-28, 2019.
Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:37-40
Folks who volunteered in the past have said how rewarding the experience was. We need MANY volunteers for this week to run smooth. There are a wide range of volunteer activities to fit varying schedules and levels of commitment. We need volunteers to drive the van, be an evening host, stay overnight, prepare a meal, clean-up after the meal, help with laundry, and help with setup and takedown. Consider hosting with your family or a group of friends.
