Duties: Convention Assistants work with the Director or Meetings & Education, Convention Chair and Convention Coordinators to assure the smooth running of the Convention Workshops, Registration and Career Day. Convention Assistants set up and work wet workshops, serve as classroom assistants for Career day, and help facilaite the start of workshops by taking attednee tickets and introducing the speakers. Although onsite you will be assigned to certain duties as a Convention Assistant you may be called upon to fill in any gaps as needed. Convention Assistant duties include a lot of walking and require the occasional lifting of boxes up to 50 lbs.
Schedule: Friday, October 16 we will host an orientation meeting at 3pm. The typical work day (Sat-Wed) begins at 6:30am and ends at 5:30pm. All Convention Assistants are required to work in the morning on Saturday, October 17 and in the afternoon on Sunday, October 18. For the remainder of the Convention you will be placed into 2 teams by the Convention Chair and assigned work times throughout the week. On the days you are not working you will able to attend workshops (you are responsible for all workshop fees).

Requests to volunteer as a CA will be open through July 15. Due to funding constraints not all volunteers will be selected.
