EL1 Snack Calendar

Thank you for making sure our students eat a healthy snack every day!  Every MSW child is asked to bring snacks for the class (21 students) a minimum of twice during the school year.  Please select two weeks per child that work with your schedule to provide snack for the EL1 students.  The snacks may be prepared, but do not have to be, as we will be eating them throughout the entire week.  Please do not send in items have processed ingredients, food dyes, sugar, or gluten.  

Please choose a total of 13 items from the list below.  Choose 4 fruits, 4 vegetables, and 5 proteins. You are welcome to purchase the same item for more than one day for fruits and vegetables (ie. 2 days worth of bananas 2 days worth of apples). We recommend that you purchase items which are in season or on sale in order to save! It also works well to shop the bulk stores such as Costco.

 

FRUIT - 4 per week

VEGGIES - 4 per week 

PROTEIN - 5 per week

 

FRUIT

12 - bananas

12 - peaches

12 - apples

12 - pears

1 - cantaloupe (cubed or balls)

1 - watermelon (cubed)

24 - clementines

1 - pineapple (cubed)

2 bags - grapes

1 container - kiwi

2 containers - berries

1 - honeydew (cubed)

 

VEGETABLE

1 large bag - carrots

1 bag - celery

2 - cucumbers

3 - bell peppers

1 bag- mini bell peppers

2 bags - snap peas

2 containers - grape or cherry tomatoes

 

PROTEIN

1 jar natural peanut butter

24 boiled, peeled, eggs

24 cheese sticks

2 large blocks cheese

 2 packages uncured nitrate free lunch meat

1 large bag nuts

2 large containers greek yogurt - Strawberry or Vanilla

 

 

*Reminder:  Please email and/or send in your receipts in order to receive volunteer credit for the total amount spent.  (Each family is required to volunteer 10 hours a year per child.)  Every $20 spent = 1 hour of volunteer time.
