Men Who Cook - AUCTION COMMITTEE & CHEF SIGN UP

The Men Who Cook School Auction is THE MAIN FUNDRAISER for our school.  Many, many hands are needed to make this event successful on our Auction Committee.  This committee helps throughout the school year with the planning and coordination of this event.  In addition, there are many opportunities to help the night of the Men Who Cook Auction including becoming one of our fabulous Men Who Cook.

Auction Committee - Chef & Guest Coordinator - 30 hours

Position includes recruiting chefs (25 tables is the goal), communicating all needed information to chefs, scheduling and running the chef meeting, coordinates chef board and ticket sales as well as all guest lists.

Compile spreadsheet of prospective donors, coordinate mailing that is mailed right after the first of the year, the submission of online donation requests and the follow up calls to prospective donors after mailing is received.

Auction Committee - PR Coordinator - 30 Hours

Includes coordinating all messages regarding the auction to the parish and school which includes weekly updates to the school flyer and bulletin, facebook page, flyer creation and eblasts the 2 weeks prior to the event.

Analyzes and acquires all supplies, dishes, curtains, linens, etc. based on needs noted in chef forms. Organizes and coordinates the setup of the gym and prep rooms/appetizer rooms.

Coordinates appetizers for the event. These appetizers are usually catered and coordination consists of managing the ordering and delivery, as well as plating the appetizers and supervising the students walking around with them the night of the event.

Coordinates wifi for the weekend with vendor, coordinates a Saturday afternoon preview the day of the auction allowing guests to come and learn how to bid and get stated with the bidding.
