The STEAM Connection
On 1/24/20 from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The class is at InVanse Technologies at The STEAM Connection Workshop.
This session is perfect for students in grades 4-6.
CAD or Computer-Aided Design is a valuable skill to have. It helps with spatial awareness, understanding new technology, and thinking more like a designer. It can also help with improving math skills and in Additive Manufacturing. It is a skill that is common among engineers, especially those in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
Join our session to learn how to CAD via the SOLIDWORKS App for Kids. We will be designing a small animal and learning how to design to 3D print. This session is taught by Danielle Boyer, someone who has keynoted at the SOLIDWORKS User Advocacy Day, been in an advertising campaign of theirs, and loves to CAD.
For an additional fee, we will print your student's design available for pickup at our workshop. We will also send you the STL file of their design.
Price: $45 dollars due to material costs. For a small 3D print of your childs design, the total cost will be $55 dollars. Revenue from this class goes to send robots to kids for free, especially in Indigenous communities. Payment via PayPal at 248-840-6918 works the best. We also accept checks. If class payment has not been paid on time, you may lose your spot in the class. We do not issue refunds. Every single class that we offer independently is always free to American Indian, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, First Nation and other indigenous peoples of North America.
Materials: Please bring a laptop to class. No tablets.
