St Johns spaghetti supper is a tradition that goes back many, many years. Each Sunday after the 5pm Mass our parishioners prepare delicious spaghetti supper for our University of Mississippi students and any parishioners who want to enjoy a $2 meal complete with spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert. It is because of the dedication of our church members that we are able to continue offering this affordable meal.
We are looking for groups of 3-5 people who are willing to cook enough spaghetti for 100-150 people. We provide all the supplies and recipes (please have one person from your group come by the office during the week to get the Kroger card and a grocery list) and a talented hard working volunteer to help with set up and clean up. Cooking for 100 is easy! Find a group of friends and come be a part of this fun outreach.
Not free to cook? We need dessert makers every weekend. Please prepare enough for 40-50 people. Bake it or fake it!! Drop your desserts off in the parish hall kitchen when you come to Mass in the morning or right before the 5pm Mass.
