Jobs are arranged by time: Before Round 1, Limited Time During the Day, All Day.

Unless you have an All Day job, you can sign up for more than one.

Please sign up for as many jobs as you can handle during the day.

You are automatically signed up for Rules Check / Judging for rounds 1 & 2, unless you have another job at that time.

Spirit Awards (20)

Easy addition to all other jobs. Get clipboard from Marcia before round 1. Throughout day, note information when you see students showing kindness toward each other and/or adults. Turn clipboard in to Marcia before Awards Assembly.

 

Judge Talk - at Judges HQ (2)

Orientation meeting for judges, 8-8:30 am

 

Judge Check-in

7 am until round 1 starts. Checking in judges who have pre-registered and assigning them to a group; verifying walk-ins on the NSO registry (requires computer).

 

Room Chairs Morning Meeting - by 8 am (2)

Help get room chairs assigned & prepared. If you're interested in becoming the Room Chair Supervisor, come by at lunch time to help as well.

 

Coordinator for Rules Check / Judging

Be at registration table by 7:15 am. Hand judge packets to assigned coaches as they sign in. Get substitutes for No Shows. Ends when round 1 starts.

 

Tech Emperor or Empress

Oversees ALL tech events for the festival; makes opening speech to entire group. Beginning of round 1 until Tech is completely finished.

 

Varsity Tech Coordinator - Sets / Lights / Graphics

Oversees Varsity Sets / Lights / Graphics tech judging. May judge if you have no entries in this category. Beginning of round 1 until your event is completely finished.

MS / JV Tech Coordinator - Sets / Lights / Graphics

Oversees Middle School and Junior Varsity Sets / Lights / Graphics tech judging. May judge if you have no entries in this category. Beginning of round 1 with MS, followed by JV, until your event is completely finished.

 

MS / JV Tech Coordinator - Court Costumes

Oversees Middle School and Junior Varsity Court Costumes tech judging. May judge if you have no entries in this category. Beginning of round 1 with MS, followed by JV, until your event is completely finished.

 

MS / JV Tech Coordinator - Character Costumes

Oversees Middle School and Junior Varsity Character Costumes tech judging. May judge if you have no entries in this category. Beginning of round 1 with MS, followed by JV, until your event is completely finished.

 

T-Shirt Sales Coordinator

Sees that the table is set up; gets cash box from treasurer; makes sure someone is always on duty; oversees packing up at end of day; delivers cash box to Tabs

 

T-Shirt Sales (10)

You will be assigned a shift of 2-3 hours. Use the comments section if you have a preferred time.

 

Share Sheets Coordinator

During Round 2, set out share sheet envelopes in logical order. See that all share sheets & handouts are distributed, and that the boxes of share sheet envelopes get to the Awards Assembly. You may be rules check / judging round 1.

 

Share Sheets Sorting - after round 2 (10)

Sort round 1 share sheets to their envelopes. Help with distribution of handouts going in all envelopes. Possibly start sorting round 2 share sheets.

 

Share Sheets Sorting - end of lunch (10)

Sort round 2 share sheets. Finish any leftovers from the earlier group.

 

Share Sheets Sorting - after semi-finals (10)

Sort share sheets from semi-finals and any leftovers from earlier groups. When all are sorted, put share sheets into envelopes. Get scripts from Rules & add them to Share Sheet envelopes.

 

Rules Check - Semi-Finals (30)

One per Semi-Finals room. Check with Rules & Judges HQ to see where they need you. May judge if needed, as long as you don't know students there.

Announcer for Outdoor Assemblies

Opening Assembly, Semi-Finals and Finals Announcements

 

Adult Lunch Check-in

Throughout lunch. Check that adults are judges or on the paid lunch list. Collect $8 each from other adults. Deliver money to Judge Coordinator or to Lynn in Tabs, whichever is closer.

 

Hospitality (2)

As you have time during the day; during lunch. Host school handles hospitality in general. DTASC people check periodically that everything seems to be running smoothly, judges have plenty of food and beverages. Deliver lunch to Tabs.

 

Judges Raffles

Conduct drawings for Judges Raffle - 1 during lunch, 1 just before announcement for Finals. 4 prizes each time.

 

Emcee for Middle School Awards Assembly (2)

Announce winners for each event. Remind students of appropriate audience behavior. Be firm but fun.

 

Trophy wrangler - MS Assembly

During the MS Awards Assembly, hand out correct trophies and plaques to each school for each event.

 

Emcee for Junior Varsity Awards Assembly (2)

Announce winners for each event. Remind students of appropriate audience behavior. Be firm but fun.

 

Trophy wrangler - JV Assembly

During the JV Awards Assembly, hand out correct trophies and plaques to each school for each event.

 

Emcee for Varsity Awards Assembly (2)

Announce winners for each event. Remind students of appropriate audience behavior. Be firm but fun.

Tabulations - Door (2)

From beginning to round 1 to end of Finals. Check ballots for completeness & use of correct letters for scoring. Friendly; detail oriented.

 

Tabulations - Input Data (10)

From beginning to round 1 to end of Finals. Input data from ballots. Good computer skills. Helpful to be able to spot anomalies.

Text Liaison - at Judges HQ (3)

Room chairs will text problems. You will get an answer for them and text back. Must get your cell phone on DTASC text network by 8:30 am. Job ends when last round has no more texts coming in. Bring your cell phone charger.

 

Judge Coordinators (5)

7 am until last judge checks out after finals. Assign judges to rooms; see that all rooms have the necessary judges; handle judge sign-out.

 

Room Chair Supervisiors (2)

Handle room chair meeting 8 am; oversee room chairs throughout day; get room chair sheets for semi-finals and finals & assign room chairs there.

 

Rules Committee (5)

Handle all reports of possible rules violations. Set up before round 1 starts. Ends when no more rules violations are reported.
