We ask that all host church volunteers adhere to the following safety and health protocols while hosting families:
Upon entering the church all volunteers will use hand sanitizer and wear a mask.
Volunteers will be limited to a maximum of 3 per shift.
Volunteers are limited to adults only. (WRCC will allow children to come for overnight volunteering with the idea of keeping the kids in the host room and away from the guests.)
Wash hands frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Maintain social distance of at least 6 feet form other volunteers and guest family. Please refrain from physical touch of any kind with the guests (handshakes, hugs, high-fives, etc. Volunteers may need to kindly remind/redirect guest children).
Overnight volunteers will wipe down their cots/air mattresses prior to use and after use. Volunteers should bring their own bedding.
Volunteers displaying any of the following symptoms are asked to stay at home and communicate with Volunteer Coordinator to arrange a replacement: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
This volunteer role needs to be a married couple. Volunteers will arrive at West Ridge at 8:00PM and spend the night with our Family Promise guests. Guests will leave M-F at 6:30AM, Saturday at 8:30AM and Sunday at 7:30AM and then after just a few lock up tasks volunteers are free to go.
