2022 MMF

2022 Home Grown Habitat Tent (Nokomis Naturescape Gardeners and Wild Ones Twin Cities).

Saturday, September 10, 2022,  10am-4pm Lake Nokomis

Volunteer Registration

We need volunteers to help visitors learn more about the Nokomis Naturescape, Wild Ones and their message of growing native plant habitat at this year’s Minneapolis Monarch Festival-Festival de la Monarca. Please join us!

Four Options for Volunteering:

1. Represent Nokomis Naturescape ~ Answer questions about the native plant demonstration gardens.

2. Represent Wild Ones Twin Cities ~ Answer questions about Wild Ones and talk about Wild Ones various outreach projects.

3. Represent Grow Monarch Habitat ~  Relate how a home garden can help monarchs and wildlife conservation.

4. Represent the Habitat Tent: Help with activities and sales at the Habitat Tent tables where needed.

The Nokomis Naturescape is located on Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis at 50th St. and Nokomis Parkway. It is a 4-acre landscape planted only with Minnesota native plant species, is an official Monarch Waystation, National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat and the original site for this festival. The Wild Ones is a not-for-profit environmental organization dedicated to educating about preserving and restoring biodiversity of our native plant communities, beginning in our own yards and gardens. Since 2002, Wild Ones Twin Cities has helped area residents maintain the Nokomis Naturescape demonstration gardens and led in native plant educational outreach.

Please read the Release and Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement, which is attached. You will be asked to acknowledge it later in the registration process.
