ONLINE 2018 Officer Safety: Supporting Public Safety Professionals Against Planned Attacks (Topic of choice - Telecommunicator)

 

 

Lesson Purpose: To provide law enforcement professionals with information and strategies to enhance officer safety both on and off duty.

Training Objectives: At the end of this block of instruction, the participant will be able to achieve the following objectives in accordance with the information presented during the instructional period:

  1. Define and discuss the term “ambush.”
  2. Review current trends related to officer attacks, fatal and nonfatal.
  3. Discuss the importance of situational awareness when supporting public safety professionals against planned attacks.

Hours/Credits: Two (2)

 


Students will need to create a Moodle account at http://cecourses.pittcc.edu/

Requested courses will be added to the student's Moodle account within 2-3 business days.
