ONLINE 2019 Human Fatigue in Shift Work: Strategies for Improving Performance

Lesson Purpose:  This lesson plan will provide the student with effective techniques of mitigating the stress fatigue has on the mind and body as a result of shift work.

Training Objectives:  At the end of this block of instruction, the participant will be able to achieve the following objectives in accordance with the information presented during the instructional period:

1.  Identify four operational influences which affect fatigue among shift workers.

2.  Identify and discuss coping skills used to counteract the negative effects of shift work.

3. Examine ways an organization can reduce the effects of shift work on its staff.
