ONLINE 2018 Career Survival (Detention-Required)

 

 

Lesson Purpose: This lesson plan will address the principles of professional and ethical conduct and familiarize the student with the current trends in social media and the hazards they pose to law enforcement.

Training Objectives: At the end of this block of instruction, the participant will be able to achieve the following objectives in accordance with the information presented during the instructional period:

           1. Define the following terms: ethics, duty, and professionalism

           2. Discuss current social media trends and identify potential hazards to criminal justice professionals.

            3. Examine techniques used to assist a detention officer in making good choices both on and off duty.

 

Hours/Credits: Two (2)

 


Students will need to create a Moodle account at http://cecourses.pittcc.edu/

Requested courses will be added to the student's Moodle account within 2-3 business days.
