Being in an Officer-involved shooting or critical incident produces uncertainties, stress and fears of what will happen next. Undue anxiety can develop within both personal and professional relationships and effect job performance and home life.
The overall dynamics of a deadly force encounter can be broken down into three separate but as equally important parts. What occurs during and after an officer-involved shooting along with information to better prepare you before the incident can happen.
Throughout this class we will discuss officer involved shootings specifically. Many of the principals, though, can be applied to other critical incidents involving law enforcement such as in-custody incidents or vehicle pursuits that result in serious injury or death of an individual.
This is a 16 hour/credit course (two 8 hours days)
