Lesson Purpose: To understand recent legal changes through appellate case law and statutory updates.
Training Objectives: At the end of this block of instruction, the participant will be able to achieve the following objectives in accordance with the information presented during the instructional period:
1. Discuss relevant federal and state case law as it applies to North Carolina law enforcement officers.
2. Review relevant North Carolina statutory changes and the practical implications for law enforcement officers.
3. Discuss any changes implemented by the North Carolina General Assembly or other government entities that would impact law enforcement.
