10/21-25/2019 - IPMBA Bicycle Patrol Officer Course

Be prepared for the street! This essential training combines Emergency Vehicle Operations for bike officers with patrol procedures, tactics, night operations, scenarios, and basic bike maintenance and on-the-road repairs.  Learn to ride like a pro, avoid crashes, and use your bike to foil the bad guys every time.  Off-road riding and bike-specific live-fire exercises may be added at the instructor’s discretion.   

 

Course Length:  40 hours

Dates: October 21, 2019 - October 25, 2019

Testing Procedure:  written & practical

Cost: NC sworn law enforcement $0, Out of State sworn law enforcement $125.00.

Additionally, students will need to go to the following web link and purchase course material (http://www.jblearning.com/catalog/0763744336/).  Each student must read this book ("The Complete Guide to Public Safety Cycling, 2nd Edition") before the first day of class.  Doing so will ensure that students are familiar with the course material and allow for more hands-on training.  

Each student is expected to have a copy of the required cycling book and be physically prepared for the class (or risk being sent home).
