Art Fundraiser Committee

This group works with Silver Graphics to turn our student’s artwork into unique gift items available for purchase.

Artists in the Courtyard Committee (5)

A daylong event where local artists of all media set up displays for our students to view. SIGN-UP FOR SPRING TBD

Beautification Committee (2)

We maintain and decorate the school on a seasonal basis. This includes the front hall bulletin board and display case and the outdoor planters and courtyard.

Book Fair Committee (5)

Mrs. Fuller, the LMC Director, organizes a springtime book fair and volunteers are needed for set up and take down. SIGN-UP FOR SPRING TBD

Clothing Sale Committee (18)

WAS plans to hold our Spring “gently used” Toy and Clothing sale. The PTO has raised up to $20,000.00 in the past from these sales (Fall sale has been canceled) SIGN-UP FOR SPRING TBD

Fifth Grade Send Off Committee (10)

very year the 5th grade enjoys a special celebration to commemorate their great years as WAS Ducks!

Fourth Grade Fundraiser Committee (5)

A group to coordinate a special fundraising event to offset the costs of our 5th grade Outdoor Ed program. “You’ve been ducked!”

Fun Fair Committee (20)

An evening of family fun with raffles, a cake walk and games games games! We need a lot of volunteers to run a successful Fun Fair. SIGN-UP FOR SPRING TBD

Fun Fair RAFFLE Committee (10)

Need a chair person and a committee of volunteers to gather donations from the community and manage the assembly of baskets to be raffled at the Fun Fair. SPRING TBD

Fundraising Opportunities (2)

This committee coordinates some of the smaller fundraisers throughout the year, including Box Tops for Education.

Get Up and Grow Committee (12)

We have an amazing school garden that provides not only a learning experience for the students but a chance for community involvement and support. They also run the Pumpkin Festival in the fall. A school favorite!

Kindergarten Welcome Committee (5)

Welcome our newest students to school during our annual Back to School party in August of 2021. A special area for the Kindies is created with a welcome to Western gift and a special T Shirt provided by the PTO.

School Supply Packs Committee (5)

Coordinate the purchase of school supply packs for the 2021-2022 year. Be on hand for pick up the week before school begins!

Spirit Wear Committee (4)

Organize and execute the selling and distribution of WAS Spirit Wear

Sports Day Committee (5)

Plans and coordinates outdoor activities for all grades at Sports Day. This year-end activity gets lets kids outside to play with all of their schoolmates. SIGN-UP FOR S

Welcome Committee (4)

This group coordinates efforts to welcome new families to Western through appropriate greetings or get-togethers.

Western Kids Care Committee (8)

A volunteer for each grade level is needed to assist committee chairs with grade level service projects; each grade has one service project throughout the school year; AFTER YOUR NAME INDICATE GRADE LEVEL ASSISTING, PLEASE ONLY 1 VOLUNTEER PER GRADE

Yearbook Committee (23)

Takes pictures throughout the school year and helps coordinate layout of yearbook that goes to production in March; AFTER NAME INDICATE FOR WHICH GRADE LEVEL YOU WANT TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR TAKING CANDID PICTURES

Teacher Appreciation Committee (6)

New this year!!! Help plan and execute teacher appreciation week in May. This week is a huge part of what the PTO does to make our kids teachers know how much we support and appreciate them

Western Avenue PTO 1st Annual Spring Golf Outing (10)

NEW THIS YEAR!!! We will be having a golf outing in the spring and are looking for people who would be willing to plan and execute that fundraiser in May TBD

Motion Running Club (20)

Runs from 4/13/22-5/18/22. Volunteers must be committed to every Wednesday. Volunteers automatically have a slot saved for their kids.
